General Manager


Our client is a logistics company which operates in the clearing and forwarding, shipping, logistics industry with activities in Europe and Africa.
His main tasks would be as follow:
1. Oversee each department with weekly management meetings
• Shipping
• CTD
• Clearing and forwarding Sea
• Clearing and forwarding Air
• Transport (trucks)
          2. Main daily focus will be on Seafreight clearing&forewarding and communication
• Printing out of tracking list per DPT according to workflow status
• Each department to communicate /alert on any abnormal file
• Daily meeting with ops on objectives and Distribution of tasks
• Set communication  for Customer Care
           3.Project Account Manager
• Oversee closely execution of big projects
           4. Finance
• Weekly Finance checks - cashflow/debtors
• Daily invoice& accrual verification, accruals and cash payments
• Weekly budget (following Friday management meeting)
• Yearly budget&management accounts
           5. Sales
• Supervise Sales Manager, targets, visits
• Development of Shipping&Project cargo through international brokers exposure
           6. Human Resources
• Oversee employees
• Recruitment of employees for profit center with HR Manager
            7. Setup & follow-up of office Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Work manuals of each department / Task
• STREAM documentation
• Department workflow indicators and benchmarking parameters (normal - abnormal)
• Set up of individual incentives based on service levels, and benchmarking parameters
